It's not everyday where you get to receive something personally regarded as a treasure for years to come. Zig Noda's debut new CD is one of those treasures I am talking about where you know you'll listen to it again ten or twenty years from now. The album "In This Moment" is pure smooth jazz and it is the smoothest execution of the flute. I would probably go even further and say that Zig Noda is to the flute as Kenny G is to the saxophone. Now, you may think I am just trying to say nice things about this CD, but really listen to it for yourself. Each track is soulful and moves you like no other. Some tracks move me more than others but on a scale from 1 - 10, I'd give this a 9 because it is just that good. Being the fact that this is a flute album is an ultimate plus, because the flute is probably the most soul moving instrument of all and it is also the fact that you don't get to hear much flute on a typical smooth jazz radio channel. Zig Noda is the best discovery so far since the beginning of CIM Radio! You can be sure we're looking forward to his next project.
