Straight smooth jazz style from Patrick Yandall, now another brand new album from the guitarist. I wouldn't say there's anything exciting in this release as it's just the familiar guitar styling that all smooth jazz fans will instantly recognize. The tune that stands out from the rest would be "The Beat Generation" as it has the extra oomph to warrant such a label. Patrick Yandall's version of "Sailing" is admirable but I would prefer a nice vocal version of it. As for the overall feel, the album is an average smooth jazz CD, but if you're new to the format, I'd say pick this CD for a taste of what's to come.
