Deep in the jungle, chasing towards the African moonlight as night turns to day. Hundreds of cannibals struggling to find a human flesh to feast upon... that's the kind of scenario one would imagine when listening to the first track of Patrick O'Hearn's Beautiful World. It is not exactly a distinct new age album, but from a profile standpoint, Beautiful World ranks on one of the top slots. The album pretty much maintains the haunting, horror mood throughout all 7 tracks. On the whole, Beautiful World seemed like a highly polished soundtrack from a modern day Hollywood horror movie. The only suggestion is a different title to reflect the consistent mood of the album.
