R&B smooth vocals sung in traditional Malay/Indo lyrics is the best way to describe Marcell. The newcomer hasn't yet reach the pop idol status of Siti Nurhaliza or even the legendary Chrisye, but with his unique good looks, Marcell could just be the next "hot" Indostar stud (As one listener has corrected me, Marcell is from Indonesia not Malaysia). Most of the songs presented here are straight hiphop and R&B flavoured tracks which can be enjoyed by both hiphop and smooth jazz fans. Right now, the song that is attracting a lot of attention is "Jelita" and is a cover song done a decade ago by an Indonesian duo called "Humania". This one is a more upbeat and equally soothing version of the original, but not as smooth (I prefer the original). Of course the unique part about the whole thing is you'll only get to hear this album right here on CIM Radio.
