The British native who now resides in Los Angeles is one of the new wave of undiscovered guitar players producing some above average tracks in the world of smooth fusion. Like most smooth albums, "The Gift" has nothing to do with jazz but more with fusion beats. Even more so is the fact that Dalton incorporates rhythms associated with the younger trend of musical taste such as heavy hiphop, funk and urban beats. One track to definitely be on the lookout for is "The Gift". Unlike the rest of the album, "The Gift" stands out from the others and combines trip hop beats with mellow electric guitar which perfectly sets a mood. Debuts albums aren't something we like to criticize on since Dalton has plenty of time to shape up his writing skills. We suggest sticking on like "The Gift".
