Certainly one of the more prestigious releases this year, "Giving Back" has a roster of great and well-known musicians collaborating in this project including, Paul Jackson Jr., Bill Champlin, Will Lee, Eric Marienthal, Gerald Albright, Lee Ritenour and many more. One of the prime differences between those completely independent albums trying to break into the smooth jazz market and those albums that are produced by smooth jazz expert is the overall instrumentation and beat of the recording. With David Garfield's "Giving Back", it is certainly classified as the latter one. Recommended tracks are "Desert Hideaway", "The One With A Broken Heart", "Sweet PC" and "Tok".
