Since when do experimental works get airplay in this commercial radio format except here on CIM Radio? This is obviously not the kind of album that contemporary jazz websites will feature, but good music is good music regardless of all the labeling. Not all tracks on this recording are worthy of listening (in fact some are really annoying), but there are some good stuff that the format can ocassionally play. "Kate's Song (Sunset Over Taos)" is one of them along with "Martian Sunset". Both have the unique mixture of rock and roll, country and electronic music incorporated. Most experimental works are far from being worthy of airplay, but this one just had that special touch to it on some of the tracks.
