Review
Guitarist Anthony James Baker puts out a regular smooth jazz sound packaged in his self-titled album. It is sounds and styles like these that are all too common in the smooth jazz world, which does nothing to differentiate the guitar playing of Anthony James Baker. One track sounds like Peter White, and another sounds like Lee Ritenour. Perhaps, one of his ways to distinguish himself with the main smooth jazz guitarists is to play "Miss Ruby". This song is a youthful, alternative track in which most people cannot relate to. Tracks to look out for are "Salamander" and "Open Wings".
