"Twilight" is a brilliant collection of some of the best in acid jazz, and ambient grooves. Ultimately, the word "smooth" does very much fit in to the music. A former firefighter for 11 1/2 years with the City of Wichita Fire Department, Chester A Thomas now turns his focus to writing and producing music. Chester takes a different approach to smooth jazz by fusing blurry saxes with uptempo grooves that could very much be the future signature sound of smooth jazz radio channels around the world and especially on the Internet. It's hard to believe that Chester's influences are Grover Washington Jr., Bob James, and David Sanborn since their approach to jazz is more predictable and mellowed out. The direction for "Twilight" is dreamy, fast paced, futuristic and fun. Overall, the tracks are excellent for a radio channel that wants to branch out a bit from its main format. Check out some of the tracks exclusively on CIM Radio Smooth Fusion.
